The felt upper uses a vegan-friendly alternative to wool and is made from recycled plastic, while the insole is made from plant-derived organic materials. Underfoot, the durable, high-grip outsole is made with recycled rubber. Gumbies also partners with Empower AS; each purchase of the Outback slipper recovers the equivalent of 80 plastic bottles’ worth of plastics from ocean shorelines and riverbanks, supporting local waste-pickers in South-East Asia and Africa.
