A 100% organic drill cotton trouser, cut with a high waist and straight leg. Featuring green and gold digitally printed art by collaborating artist Jamie House. Drill cotton is a medium-weight denim fabric.
The print started as an experiment with ceramic and glass paint on paper:
"The process for the print was an alchemical one. I poured some ceramic and glass paints, using gravity and chance to mix them. I then scanned [the mixture] in and ran it through processing software to add some subtle digital artifacts." ~ Jamie House
The result is an abstract camouflage, resembling the mix of foliage in the Pacific Northwest's autumn. Throughout the pattern House's signature motifs can be found, such as the eye, symbolizing the balance between intuition and mind.
Made in London.
Please note each pant is slightly unique to the other. Pattern placement may not be exactly as shown in the pictures.
Model is 5'9, wearing a size small.
Our measurements are taken in cm from the products laid flat, from seam to seam.
The Pender was digitally printed on organic cotton using digital pigment inks. Our fabric supplier's printing process requires no water at all, and uses around 95% less energy than traditional screen printing.
Organic cotton is an important fabric in the green revolution: its water pollution impact is 98% less than non-organic cotton production.
