A beautifully smooth, curved design with a nice, neat hinged lid.
Small air vent holes in the rear of the lid ensure just the right amount of breathability to help preserve the consistency of the crust and texture of the loaf for longer.
Providing a small degree of airflow helps reduce the risk of mould, but too much airflow risks drying the loaf out too much, so a decent bread box will allow a degree of breathability, either by using naturally breathable materials or by adding air vents like we have here.
Of course, the performance will depend on the temperature and humidity of the room and the type pf bread being stored, but in general, expect your loaf to be nicely edible for 3 to 4 days.
