Sow successionally from March to July for a steady supply, growing outdoors or under cloches for earlier crops. For best results, choose well-drained, moisture-retentive soil in full sun or light shade, sowing thinly at 1cm deep in rows 30cm apart. Once seedlings are large enough to handle, thin to 15–25cm apart.
