Oxeye Daisy (Leucanthemum vulgare)
Also known by common names such as dog daisy or marguerite.
This cheerful perennial wildflower is native and often found thriving in meadows and grasslands. As the largest member of the native daisy family, the oxeye daisy produces large, round flower heads that are rich in nectar & pollen, making them highly attractive to bees, butterflies & moths. Its seeds also provide a food source for birds.
Ideal for informal cottage or wildlife gardens, the oxeye daisy prefers well-drained soil in sunny spots but can also tolerate partial shade.
Sow in spring between March and May or in autumn from August to October.
