Single-use plastics account for 40% of the plastic produced yearly, and once thrown away, are estimated to be able to cause environmental damage for up to 600 years. Rivers, which act like conveyor belts, gather more and more debris as they flow downstream and it is estimated that 1000 rivers are responsible for nearly 80% of global annual riverine plastic emissions into the ocean. It was calculated that the levels as of 2022, it is equivalent to dumping a rubbish truck (1 ton) of plastic into the ocean per minute. At Think Ocean, they advocate for addressing the issue at its source by preventing plastic waste from entering the seas in the first place. The focus is on rivers through their Horizon mission project with the EU, aiming to make a significant impact with their stop-at-source technology.

In collaboration with Think Ocean to help raise awareness of and also support for their ongoing efforts, the Blue Think Ocean Big Whale Silver and Rope Bracelet was both designed and skilfully handcrafted completely in Great Britain. Combining British craft manufacturing with a discerning modern-minimalist style, this Think Ocean x ANCHOR & CREW bracelet features:

  • 3mm diameter recycled Marine Grade polyester and nylon rope (GB)
  • Secure solid .925 sterling silver big whale fin tail. Is there a more graceful ocean animal? (GB)
