Stronger Gum uses xylitol as its main sweetener, while the Extra Tough version uses only xylitol. Xylitol is a natural sweetener that helps protect the teeth from plaque buildup and tooth decay.
Stronger Gum is used in Dr. Mike Mew's clinic, the leading doctor in craniofacial orthotropics.
For regular Stronger Gum, chew 2, 4 or 6 pieces at a time, with an equal number of pieces on each side of your mouth on the molars.
For Stronger Gum Extra Tough, chew 1-3 pieces at a time. Place the gum on one side of your mouth, then alternate sides to ensure even exercise for both sides of your jaw.
As your bite gets stronger, it may benefit you to chew more pieces at once.
For optimal results, minimise movement of the cheeks while chewing. This means you should aim to keep the area at the side of the lips as still as you can.
Tip: If you want to make the gum harder, take a sip of cold water. Stronger Gum gets harder in cold water.
The advanced program combines the regular and extra tough versions of Stronger Gum. In this program, Stronger Gum Extra Tough is chewed for 10-15 minutes to introduce the jaw bone to harder forces, and the regular Stronger Gum is chewed for 15-30 minutes. This combination of chewing harder material for a short period and softer material for a longer period replicates how our ancestors, who had great facial structure, had to break down hard materials and then chew on them for long periods.
