How do I care for my olive wood products?

To keep your olive wood in top condition, never put olive wood in a dishwasher, always hand wash with warm water and leave to dry, it’s important to oil it regularly. This will help to protect the wood and keep it looking its best. We recommend using rapeseed oil, applied with a clean cloth. Just be sure not to use too much oil, as this can make the board slippery.

When you’re not using it, store your olive wood in a cool, dry place. And if it starts to look dry or dull, simply give it a quick rub with rapeseed oil to renew the lustre.

With proper care, your olive wood will last for many years to come! So if you’re looking for a high-quality, durable and beautiful cutting surface, we highly recommend giving one a try.

Is olive wood hygienic?

Olive wood has been found to be an excellent option for use in the kitchen due to its natural oils and antibacterial properties which enable its ability to eliminate bacteria, therefore olivewood is typically considered more hygienic compared to many other kinds of wood.
