The Peter Rabbit Library 10 Books Collection Box Set Gift Pack is a ten-book collection of Beatrix Potter’s well-known tales, bringing together stories from Peter Rabbit to Jemima Puddle-Duck. Presented as a single set, it gathers familiar characters and settings, including Hill Top farm near the village of Sawrey and its cottage garden in selected tales.

Across the collection, the stories move through gardens and woodlands, with close calls, comic mishaps and everyday dramas among animals and people. Several tales draw on details from Potter’s own life, including Jemima as a real duck at Hill Top and the appearance of Potter’s sheepdog, Kep.

Synopses

The Tale of Jemima Puddle Duck

Jemima wants to lay her eggs in peace and hatch them herself. A charming gentleman offers her his woodshed, but he is planning a meal of roast duck. Jemima is described as a real duck belonging to Beatrix Potter at Hill Top, and the story also features Potter’s sheepdog, Kep, who saves her.

The Tale of The Floppsy Bunnies

Baby bunnies venture into Mr. McGregor’s garden in search of food.

The Tale of Tom Kitten

Set in the cottage garden Beatrix created at Hill Top near Sawrey, Tom and his sisters are dressed in new clothes. While their mother waits for visitors, she sends them outside, unaware of the trouble and mess they will get into.

The Tale of Mr. Jeremy Fisher

Jeremy Fisher is a slightly accident-prone frog whose fishing trip goes wrong. He is bitten by a water beetle and nearly eaten by a trout.

The Tale of Mrs. Tiggy-Winkle

Lucie searches for her missing pocket handkerchiefs and finds a tiny door. Inside, she meets Mrs. Tiggy-winkle, who washes and irons for neighbouring animals, and Lucie spends the day helping. Only at the end does she realise Mrs. Tiggy-winkle is a hedgehog.

The Tale of Two Bad Mice

Two naughty little mice slip into a beautiful doll’s house when they find the door left ajar. Tempted by the food in the dining room, they cause chaos when they discover it will not come off the plates.

The Tale of Benjamin Bunny

Benjamin Bunny visits his cousin Peter Rabbit and finds him miserable. Peter’s mother is angry because he left his coat and shoes in Mr McGregor’s garden, and Mr McGregor has hung them up as a scarecrow.

The Tailor of Gloucester

A poor tailor struggles through a hard winter in his freezing workshop. He has an important commission for the Mayor of Gloucester’s wedding on Christmas Day, but he is ill, tired, and running out of food, thread, and time. The story asks how he can finish the beautiful coat and embroidered waistcoat.

The Tale of Squirrel Nutkin

This tale follows a little red squirrel called Nutkin. While other squirrels travel to Owl Island to collect nuts on Old Brown Owl’s land, Nutkin repeatedly makes fun of Mr Owl, treating it as a joke that may not stay funny for long.

The Tale of Peter Rabbit

Peter Rabbit is described as mischievous, and when his mother goes out he slips under the gate into Mr McGregor’s vegetable patch. In the garden he finds more waiting for him than he expected.
