Designed for rigging and rope assemblies, these 10mm galvanised commercial Wire Rope Grips (DIN741) provide a practical way to form loops in wire rope or create a temporary join when required. Suitable for use on board boats and for similar applications on land, each grip is made from mild steel with a galvanised coating for corrosion resistance.

Supplied as a quantity of 10, this set is sized to suit 10mm wire rope and is intended for secure, correctly orientated fitting as part of a wire rope setup.

Safety information

• Before fitting, grease the threads on the nuts and bolts
• Allow at least 6 times the rope diameter between grips
• Fit with the ‘U’ bolt on the unloaded end of the rope
• Tighten each nut evenly and in turn to achieve the recommended torque settings
• Leave unused for 24 hours, then re-check torque settings and re-tighten if required
• After the first application of load, re-check torque settings and re-tighten if required
• During service, periodically check torque settings
