Inside, a 5-pin precision tumbler cylinder uses anti-pick mushroom pins and rust-free components to support reliable operation. Protection is further reinforced by a hardened steel pin that helps defend the narrow side of the lock against sawing. Practical day-to-day use is supported by automatic locking, allowing the padlock to be secured by simply pushing the shackle, while the deadlock mechanism requires a key to lock.
