At ANCHOR & CREW every product is handcrafted by celebrated craftsmen to ensure our high standards of quality. Operating a truly ethical, traceable and transparent supply chain with materials sourced from highly conscious sources, we are driven to empower our customers to make the right choice with the right information and enact change within our industry. Placing a dedicated amount of energy into the completion of any design, from sketching and moulding to processing, finishing and assembly, we enjoy the value of craftsmanship.
Our rope is hand wound, certified Navy grade and used by the GB Royal Navy, our silver and gold is 100% recycled .925 sterling and 9ct respectively - hallmarked accordingly -, our leather (hide and stingray) is natural and genuine, our natural stones entirely authentic, and all other subsidiary materials are of artisan materiality and character; there is no consideration of poor quality.
Since 2014, ANCHOR & CREW has combined British craftsmanship with a modern, minimalist aesthetic. Handcrafted in Great Britain and celebrated worldwide, we’re a multi-award-winning brand with fans in over 85 countries.
Our philosophy is simple — Craftsmanship + Materiality + Transparency + Sustainability. We believe in traceable sourcing, ethical production and honest materials. Known for our signature anchor, rope and leather bracelets, we create unisex jewellery, accessories and lifestyle goods that embody timeless British style.
We exclusively use 100% recycled precious metals, never plated or coated base metals. Many brands use silver or gold plating over cheaper materials like stainless steel or copper, leading to quick wear and misleading pricing. We don’t. Every ANCHOR & CREW piece is made from solid sterling silver or gold for lasting quality, value and durability.
Our commitment to craftsmanship and transparency means you know exactly what you’re buying — jewellery that stands the test of time, both in style and substance.
Proudly based in Britain’s East Midlands, we value craftsmanship, innovation and social responsibility in equal measure. We believe that people care deeply about the environment but often lack clear information. That’s why we share our sustainability journey openly — from sourcing to production.
Unlike larger corporations that focus only on internal improvements, we work to build an ethically responsible supply chain at every stage. Through collaboration, education and shared standards, we help drive positive change across our industry.
Working closely with Birmingham’s Jewellery Quarter, we source all our sterling silver, gold and gemstones from reputable, conflict-free suppliers. Our partners follow strict standards including Fairtrade Gold, RJC membership, and Conflict-Free Sourcing Initiative certification.
We operate on a circular economy model — all precious metals are 100% recycled, and any manufacturing scrap is reprocessed and reintroduced into production. Recycled silver and gold produce up to 99% fewer emissions than newly mined metal.
Every piece is independently hallmarked by a UK Assay Office, guaranteeing authenticity and protecting consumers — a legal requirement we proudly uphold as part of Britain’s long jewellery tradition.
We source paper from one of the UK’s few remaining mills, using pulp from sustainably managed Swedish forests. All materials meet FSC® and PEFC standards, with ISO 9000 and 14001 certification. Our partners actively replant woodland, recycle coffee cups at industrial scale, and use hydroelectric power — ensuring every element of our packaging is part of a positive environmental cycle.
Our leather comes from the Igualada Leather Cluster in Spain, where over two decades of investment have cut water use by 50% and pollution by up to 50%. Wastewater is biologically treated, and waste materials are recycled — ensuring high-quality, responsibly made leather.
We source certified organic cotton from India, grown without synthetic fertilisers or pesticides. This protects biodiversity, reduces emissions and improves the wellbeing and income of farmers. The supply chain runs on wind power, and by-products like cottonseed are reused for oil and animal feed.
Closer to home, we also support UK-based apprenticeships — providing training and fair pay to young craftspeople while using low-waste printing technology to minimise emissions.
ANCHOR & CREW is more than a jewellery brand — it’s a commitment to craftsmanship, sustainability and integrity. Every project we launch, from design to delivery, is guided by these principles. Our goal is simple: to create responsibly made products that last, look good and do good.
