Antinori Tignanello 2020 75cl

From Marchesi Antinori, Tignanello 2020 is a red wine from the Tenuta Tignanello estate in the heart of Chianti Classico. Produced from a selection of Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc, it comes from vineyards set on gently rolling hillsides between the Greve and Pesa river valleys.

The estate extends across 319 hectares, with around 130 hectares under vine. Tignanello and Solaia, the estate’s two prized vineyards, sit on the same hillside on soils of marine marlstone from the Pliocene period, rich in limestone and schist. Warm daytime temperatures and cooler evenings shape the growing season, while Tignanello remains a landmark wine in Italian viticulture, noted as the first Sangiovese aged in barriques and among the first red wines in Chianti Classico made without white grapes.
