• Assembly: This item is delivered flat-packed and is semi-assembled for your convenience. Final assembly requires only a screwdriver, preferably battery-operated, to connect the panels. Comprehensive, easy-to-follow instructions will be included with your 24-hour delivery notification email.
• Our classic pub style picnic benches and tables are manufactured from high-quality kiln-dried timber. Kiln drying reduces moisture content to improve stability and finish; however, this timber is not pressure treated and must be protected before outdoor use. If the bench is placed outdoors without suitable protection, the timber will quickly absorb moisture, which can lead to splitting, warping, staining and reduced lifespan. Before or immediately after placing the product outdoors, the timber must be treated with a suitable exterior wood paint, stain or preservative. This creates a protective barrier against moisture and weather exposure. As a natural material, timber will continue to respond to outdoor conditions and will develop a natural patina over time. Minor surface movement or cracking may occur and is normal. To maintain appearance and prolong the life of the bench, we recommend:
• Applying an exterior wood paint, stain or preservative before outdoor use
• Reapplying protective treatment as required, typically annually
• Using exterior wood oil (such as linseed or furniture oil) to nourish the timber once protected

Failure to treat the timber for outdoor use may significantly reduce durability and is not considered a manufacturing fault.
