The reclaimed wood is sourced from joists, floors and support beams from old buildings being demolished, and may include pine, teak, beech, oak, mango wood and acacia. As a result, each Berkfield bookcase shows its own variation in colour and wood grain. The wood is aged, weathered and dried, and every stage of the process, including polishing, painting and lacquering, is carried out with care.
