Made by Berkfield from galvanised iron with a silver finish, they are intended to create a shaped barrier with sound-insulating qualities once filled and in place.

Each basket is made from corrosion-resistant wire and uses strengthened gabion hooks to pull opposing wire panels tightly together, helping the structure hold its form during filling. Suitable for use with rocks or gravel, the cages can also be filled with natural materials such as concrete, sandstone and coloured stone.
