Each basket is formed with a 3.5 mm wire diameter and a 5 x 10 cm mesh, helping the structure hold a consistent shape once filled. Strengthened gabion hooks draw opposing wire panels tightly together for a secure framework. Once assembled, the cages can be filled with rocks or gravel, or with materials such as concrete, sandstone and coloured stone, allowing for a more natural, textured finish.
