Each basket uses a 3.5 mm wire diameter with a 5 x 10 cm mesh, while strengthened gabion hooks draw opposing wire panels tightly together for added stability. The arched cage construction is intended to be filled with rocks or gravel so the structure keeps its form once in place. It can also be filled with selected natural materials including concrete, sandstone and coloured stone, allowing a more tailored finish to suit the surrounding garden.
