Operation is simple: the parasol opens and closes by turning the knob on the pole, and it also includes a crank handle for added ease. An aluminium pole is supported by 8 aluminium ribs for a durable structure, while the detachable steel cross base adds stability without taking up too much space. For additional support, the included portable base is made up of four separate plastic parts that can be filled to suit your set-up, then emptied to make carrying easier.
