Calvin Klein launched Contradiction Eau de Parfum in 1998 as a floral woody musk fragrance for women. The fragrance is too emphasising an active urban woman “that is always and never the same”. Contradiction opens up with floral bouquet of lily-of-the-valley, orchid, jasmine, rose, lilies and peony then moves onto refreshing notes of eucalyptus, jasmine and lilac with sweet juicy blackberry then finishes the scent with oriental notes of musk, tonka bean and sandalwood. The notes behind the fragrance was created by Ann Gottlieb.

Top notes: Lily-of-the-valley, orchid, false jasmine, rose, lily and peony.

Heart notes: Jasmine, lilac, eucalyptus and blackberry.

Base notes: Musk, tonka bean and sandalwood.
