Corgi AEC Routemaster London & Country 406 Epsom

Following bus deregulation in 1986, the AEC Routemaster became a practical choice for operators outside London, and this 1:76 scale diecast model captures RM1183 in its London / Country era. Produced by Corgi, it reflects the vehicle’s service history after London / Country acquired it from Southend Transport in 1993, initially running Surrey Schools’ route 418 while still in Southend livery.

The model represents the bus as it later appeared on Christmas shopper services for routes 406 and 408, after receiving the London / Country two-tone green livery. RM1183 went on to operate Leatherhead-based routes 406, 408, 410, 414 and 473 during 1994, as well as the Surrey Hills leisure buses, before an overhaul and repaint into Lincoln green at the end of that year. A limited edition piece, it is intended for collectors aged 14+.
