From Silk & Bears, this Crimson Shibori Silk Scarf is a distinctive accessory shaped by traditional resist-dyeing. Deep crimson is broken by flashes of pale silk, creating a striking contrast that gives the piece a strong visual presence whether worn at the neck or draped over the shoulders.

Made by artisans in Nha Xa in northern Vietnam, where silk dyeing has been practised for over 700 years, each scarf is individually created using traditional shibori techniques. The silk is bound, twisted or clamped before dyeing, so the final pattern is only revealed when the fabric is opened. Woven from 100% pure mulberry habotai silk, it has a featherlight feel with a natural lustre, making it well suited to occasion dressing as well as thoughtful gifting.
