Earthy Tones 9 was founded by Ruchi Varma, whose own lifelong experience with sensitive skin, combined with watching her daughter struggle with severe eczema, led her back to the herbal rituals she grew up with. The result is a range of gentle, plant-powered face and body care rooted in Ayurvedic wisdom and refined through modern skincare understanding.

Every product is built around botanicals such as saffron, rose, turmeric, neem, aloe vera and liquorice, and is dermatologically tested, cruelty-free, vegan and handmade, without parabens, sulphates, artificial colours or fragrances. The formulations are suitable for all skin types, including sensitive, eczema and psoriasis prone skin.

Ruchi's engineering background shows in how each product is developed. She studies ingredient composition, explores botanical alternatives to conventional skincare ingredients, and refines every formulation through repeated trials over several months, testing across different skin types and tones with feedback gathered from users around the world.
