Ecohome Insulation Timber Frame Multifoil Insulation Kit

From Ecohome Insulation, the Timber Frame Multifoil Insulation Kit is a complete system for insulating timber frame walls. Designed for 89mm studs or deeper, it combines YBS SuperQuilt for the internal wall with YBS BreatherFoil FR for the external side, offering a practical solution where a range of U values is required for Building Control.

Within the system, SuperQuilt provides thermal performance and can act as a vapour control layer when fully taped and sealed, while BreatherFoil FR adds insulation and also functions as a breathable external membrane. Depending on the timber frame construction, different U values can be achieved. For lower U values such as 0.18, the source recommends installing two layers of SuperQuilt internally with one layer of BreatherFoil FR externally.
