Created for newborn sleep spaces, the ergoPouch HugMe Blanket is a TOG-rated crib blanket designed as a safer alternative to loose blankets from birth. Developed by ergoPouch for use in a bassinet, cot, crib or bedside sleeper, it offers a firm-fitting mattress sleeve for full-term newborns who may prefer added security around the body without swaddling.

This reversible design features two TOG-rated sides and a two-way zip, allowing warmth and firmness to be adjusted to suit different sleep environments. The ergoPouch HugMe Blanket is approved by INPAA and was developed in partnership with The Lullaby Trust UK as a safer-sleep product for full-term newborns who are not yet rolling.

How to use

• Slip the HugMe Blanket over the end of your baby’s mattress
• Use the 1.0 TOG side up for a moderate warmth layer and firm fit in rooms between 19-23C
• Use the 2.5 TOG side up for a warmer layer and more secure fit in rooms between 15-20C
• Dress your baby in sleepwear before use
• Unzip the blanket and lay your baby under the open folds with their feet touching the end of the crib, bedside sleeper or cot
• Zip the blanket to the desired firmness, ensuring you can fit two fingers firmly between the sheet and your baby
• Check that the blanket sits no higher than the middle of your baby’s chest
• If needed, tuck more of the sheet under the mattress to achieve the correct length, adjusting as your child grows taller
• Unzip the sheet to remove your baby
• Discontinue use once your baby shows signs of rolling over

Safety information

• Suitable for babies born full term (37 weeks +), weighing 3kg+ and measuring minimum 50cm in length
• Ensure baby's feet are touching the end of the bassinet/cradle when in use, and the tuck sheet is positioned no higher than mid-way up baby's chest
• Do not use with more than one child inside the tuck sheet
• Discontinue use once your baby shows signs of rolling over
• It is recommended to sleep baby on back from birth
• For use only with a bassinet or cradle mattress
• The mattress used with this product should have a firm surface; soft bedding is not recommended
• Do not modify the product
• Do not overdress baby when using the tuck sheet, to prevent overheating
