First launched in 1992, Monte Velho takes its name from the monte beside the Caridade reservoir at Herdade do Esporão. Created with the same origin and philosophy as Esporão Reserva, it was developed to reach more people and to make daily wine consumption an experience, while staying true to the region’s winegrowing tradition.

A blend of grape varieties and vinification techniques is used to express the character of its home region, delivering rich aromas and a smooth palate with an excellent gastronomic bent.
