Estee Lauder launched Private Collection in 1973 as a floral green fragrance for women, it was original reserved for private use of Mrs Estee Lauder. Private Collection opens up with crisp sweet lemon, lime with hiacynth, bergamot, orange blossom and green accords then moves onto floral garden of jasmine, narcissus, chrysanthemum, rose, honeysuckle, mignonette and ylang-ylang with crisp ripe then finishes the scent with smooth musk, patchouli, cedar, amber, heliotrope, sandalwood, oakmoss with coriander. The notes behind the fragrance were created by Vincent Marcello.

Top notes: Lemon, hiacynth, green notes, bergamot, lime and orange blossom.

Heart notes: Pear, jasmine, narcissus, chrysanthemum, rose, honeysuckle, mignonette and ylang-ylang.

Base notes: Musk, patchouli, cedar, amber, heliotrope, sandalwood, oakmoss and coriander.
