Folic acid is the synthetic version of folate (vitamin B9). Folate helps the body make healthy red blood cells and is found in certain foods. These daily tablets provide 400µg folic acid per tablet and are designed for adults and teens.

Folic acid is used to treat or prevent folate deficiency anaemia. It is also recommended during pregnancy to help your baby’s brain, skull and spinal cord develop properly, helping to avoid development problems. If you’re pregnant or trying to get pregnant, it’s recommended you take folic acid until you’re 12 weeks pregnant to support normal growth.
