The GearHooks® BR6DD "Double Decker" vertical bike rack for up to 6 bikes is an expandable and adaptable vertical bike rack that you can change as your bikes, gear, lifestyle or family changes.

It is also the best way to mount a lot of bikes in the smallest amount of space, because the bikes overlap and hang in-between each other. Great if you are short on wall space.

It uses two GearHooks® bike racks mounted one above the other so the bikes overlap. You get two 1 metre long GearRails (in your choice of colours) plus 3 single and 3 double bike hooks.

It will hold 6 bikes of any kind including adult and children's road bikes, mountain bikes, ebikes, downhill bikes or any mixture with any size wheels and tyres.

You can fit the vertical bike rack in a shed, garage, basement, apartment or office. It looks fantastic in any setting and is available in a choice of colours to match your decor or your bikes.

You can even lock the bike to the rail with your own cable lock using the loop on top of the bike hook.

You don’t even have to lift heavier bikes 

Simply pull on the back brake, take a couple of steps backwards (the bike will rise onto its back wheel) and roll it forwards until you can hook the front wheel on the lower set of double hooks.

Lighter bikes, like road bikes, can be mounted on the ‘Top Deck’ set of single hooks, higher on the wall. You can position the hooks so that you can get to each bike without having to move the others.

The above series of photo's shown our B1 single bike hook mounted directly on the wall but rail mounted single bike hooks, mounted as No-Lift, work exactly the same way.

To help you choose the right capacity bike rack:

This vertical bike rack is designed for 6 bikes of any type including 6 road bikes or 6 mountain bikes, 3 on each of the two rails. One rail is usually mounted 300mm higher and offset left or right by 250mm.

It works especially well with 3 x road bikes + 3 mountain bikes . Road bikes can easily be lifted onto the upper rail. You don't need to lift heavy bikes onto the lower rail.

However 6 x mountain bikes or 6 x road bikes or any mix of bikes will also work very well.

It includes two 1 metre long rails plus 3 single bike hooks and 3 double bike hooks plus all the hook-to-rail fittings and heavy duty rail-to-wall fixings you need for most wall types.

We also manufacture wall mounting racks for 3, 4 or 5 bikes. They all have a single 1M long rail with varying numbers of bike hooks.

In-built Security as standard

If you want to be able to secure your bikes on the rack you can use the loop on the top of the bike hooks and your own cable lock

Just feed a cable lock (not supplied) through the loop and the front wheel. For added security use a longer cable and feed it through the frame. For even more security you can drill out the hex head on the fixing screw to make it almost impossible to remove the hook. If the hooks are fitted over the rail fixings, a thief can’t even unscrew the rail. All of this will prevent opportunist theft and is a huge deterrent to even the most determined thief.
