Gosset Grand Blanc de Blancs Brut Champagne N.V.

From Gosset, the Grand Blanc de Blancs Brut Champagne N.V. comes from the oldest wine house in Champagne, founded in Aÿ in 1584 by Pierre Gosset, an alderman and wine-grower known at the time for producing mostly red wines. In an era when the region’s still wines were served on the best tables of France alongside the wines of Beaune, Gosset established a reputation rooted in long-standing Champagne heritage.

In the glass, this cuvée shows a pale golden colour. The nose opens with floral aromas and white fruits, followed by apricot and Mirabelle plum, with very light notes of lemon and other citrus fruits. Quince jelly and honey add further nuance. On the palate, white flowers return, joined by a subtle hint of toastiness for a balanced, expressive finish.
