L’Ombre Des Merveilles by Hermes opens with rich black tea that gives off bitter freshness to the scent. It then moves onto intense smoky yet spicy heart of incense. It finishes the fragrance off with a smooth and indulgent base of tonka bean. The fragrance is simple, very simple, but also gorgeous, lovely and shows that stripped down fragrances can work. The notes roll from one into the other, each getting a chance to shine, each dancing with the next before handing over the reins and each being more complex than they have any right to be by themselves, yet the fragrance still remains mostly simple and straight forward. How to Apply:

Apply it to your body warmest points, such as crease of your elbows and wrists that intensifies longevity of the fragrance.

Avoid rubbing after application as this will reduce the longevity of the fragrance.

For wrist application, apply the fragrance after hand washing.
