Synopses

The Affair

In March 1997, a woman is found murdered behind a bar in Mississippi, close to a major army base. Jack Reacher, then a major in the military police, is sent in undercover as questions mount over whether the killer is local or connected to the base. Working alongside the county sheriff, a former U.S. Marine, the investigation is complicated by suspicion and the possibility of interference from higher up.

Hitching a lift proves difficult for Reacher, especially with a freshly broken nose, until three strangers finally stop. Their stories quickly begin to unravel, and a police roadblock ahead suggests something serious has happened.
