Get Born

was released in 2003 and is available here on LP. Recorded at Sunset Sound Studios in Los Angeles, the sessions were produced by Dave Sardy. During the recording period, the band paused work to support the Rolling Stones on their 2003 Australian tour.

The album includes “Are You Gonna Be My Girl”, described in the source as Jet’s most popular song. The lead single was noted for similarities to Iggy Pop’s “Lust for Life”, while the band linked its feel to 1960s Motown, citing “I'm Ready for Love” by Martha And The Vandellas and “You Can't Hurry Love” by The Supremes.
