The Bolds are a family of hyenas living as humans in a suburban house. Their kindness to animal waifs and strays becomes well known, and more animals keep arriving to stay, including Roger the sheep, Fifi the poodle and Sheila the crocodile.

The Bold family appear fairly ordinary, with a nice house, good jobs and a love of fun. The difference is that they are hyenas, covered in fur with tails tucked into their clothes, and they really like to laugh.

The Bolds on Holiday

It is the summer holidays and the hairiest family in Teddington decide they have earned a break by the seaside. With their extended hyena family joining them, they travel to Cornwall for a camping trip.

The Bolds in Trouble

The family decide to stay at home and keep their heads down, as hiding tails and fur under clothes can be difficult and they do not want to alarm their human neighbours. Trouble arrives when a very sly fox starts causing a nuisance, and the Bolds try to stop him.
