The story follows Yumeko after she escapes a burning temple with the first piece of the scroll. Her path becomes entwined with the samurai Kage, who is under orders to kill anyone who stands in his way. As the journey continues, Yumeko must take her piece to the Steel Feather temple to prevent the dragon’s summoning, while new dangers emerge, including the demon Hakaimono and Genno, the Master of Demons. In the final instalment, Yumeko gives up the last piece of the scroll to save those she loves, as she and her companions travel to the sea cliffs of Iwagoto in a final attempt to stop a wish that could plunge the empire into destruction and darkness.

Synopses

Shadow Of The Fox

Every millennium, the missing pieces of the Scroll of a Thousand Prayers are hunted for their power to call the great Kami Dragon from the sea and ask for one wish. When a temple burns, Yumeko escapes with the first piece of the scroll. Fate places her in the path of the samurai Kage, who seeks what she carries and is under orders to kill those who stand in his way.

Soul Of The Sword

Yumeko must take her piece of the ancient scroll to the Steel Feather temple to prevent the summoning of the great Kami Dragon. A new threat emerges when the demon Hakaimono escapes and possesses the samurai Kage Tatsumi of the Shadow Clan. Hakaimono then joins forces with Genno, the Master of Demons, in an attempt to break his curse and set himself free.

Night Of The Dragon

Yumeko gives up the final piece of the Scroll of a Thousand Prayers to save everyone she loves from imminent death. She and her companions travel to the wild sea cliffs of Iwagoto in a last-chance effort to stop the Master of Demons from calling the great Kami Dragon. The aim is to prevent a wish that would plunge the empire into destruction and darkness.
