Gentle, efficient cooking sits at the heart of the Kuhn Rikon Hotpan Serving Casserole 1L / 14cm. Designed as a thermal cookware system, it combines a cooking pot with an insulating bowl so dishes can be heated briefly and then continue cooking away from the hob.

Once cooking is complete, food stays hot in the Hotpan for up to 2 hours. The range supports 3-in-1 use for cooking, soft cooking and keeping hot, with a focus on reduced energy use and cooking without fat.

Use and care

• For normal soiling use ordinary detergent
• For intensive soiling, scale and/or discolouration use a chromium steel cleaner, for example Swiss Cleaner
• Abrasive cleaners and dishwashers can damage the pot’s surface
• Dishwasher suitable; washing by hand is recommended
• With regular dishwasher washing, synthetic fittings may lose their shine and aluminium may oxidise or corrode
• Do not remove stuck food with sharp objects such as knives, steel wool or scourers
• Remove limescale with vinegar or lemon juice
• Never place the melamine bowl on direct heat, in the oven or microwave
• Never place a plastic holder on the hob and never leave an empty Hotpan on a hot hob hotplate
• Never fill the plastic holder directly with hot liquids; use only in combination with the Hotpan cooking pot
