From Laurent-Perrier, Grand Siècle Champagne (Grande Cuvée) N.V. is the House’s Prestige Cuvée, first launched in 1959 and created to showcase its exacting standards and know-how. Conceived in 1955 by Bernard de Nonancourt, it was designed to challenge the convention that a prestige cuvée must come from a single vintage year, instead expressing the art of blending “taken to the extreme”.

Grand Siècle is crafted as a blend of wines from three great Laurent-Perrier vintage years, using grapes from the most prestigious crus. The resulting style is defined by finesse, power and balance, offering a Champagne intended to complement the finest dishes.

In the glass, it is described as starry bright with a brilliant yellow hue. Subtle notes of honey, hazelnuts, grilled almonds and fresh pastry lead into a palate that is powerful yet well-rounded, rich and savoury, and finished with a deliciously fresh touch. The length of flavour is noted as remarkable, with a distinctive combination of depth and finesse.
