Inside, the metallic lining is constructed in layers to keep the outer colour rich and opaque, so light is directed from the top and bottom of the shade and reflected off the foil lining. The central bulb holder position is set 4cm up from the bottom for a lamp shade, or 4cm down from the top for a ceiling pendant shade; for arc floor lamps, Love Frankie advises ordering the ceiling pendant fitting so the fittings sit at the top.
