First released in 1995, the Mizuno Contender trainers draw on an archive silhouette shaped by ideas from the brand’s founder, Rhiachi Mizuno. This lightweight style was created with stability and support in mind, offering a well-cushioned option for entry-level runners and a distinctive 90s profile that also works for everyday wear.

The upper combines mesh with suede reinforcements, balancing the original look with durable structure. Underfoot, a single-density compression moulded EVA midsole is paired with Mizuno Transpower technology in the heel. A one-piece solid rubber outsole is finished with forefoot flex grooves for a smoother heel-to-toe transition.
