First launched in 1992, Angel by Mugler is a landmark Eau de Parfum that helped define the modern gourmand. Created for women by Olivier Cresp and Yves de Chirin, it’s an amber vanilla composition with a bold, instantly recognisable signature and a reputation that has endured for decades.

The opening is a vivid swirl of fruit and sweetness, blending notes such as cotton candy, coconut, cassis, melon, bergamot, pineapple and mandarin, softened by jasmine. As it develops, a rich heart of honeyed fruits and florals emerges, with red berries, blackberry, plum, apricot and peach alongside orchid, rose and lily-of-the-valley, warmed by touches of caraway and nutmeg. In the base, patchouli anchors the sweetness, layered with chocolate, caramel, vanilla, tonka bean, amber, musk and sandalwood for a deep, lingering trail. Best suited to late autumn and winter, it comes into its own in cooler weather and evening settings.
