Nine Inch Nails ‘Pretty Hate Machine’ is the debut studio album from the American industrial rock band, originally released by TVT Records on October 20, 1989. This LP edition is on black vinyl and presents a synth-driven electronic sound blended with industrial and rock elements.

The album includes reworked material from the Purest Feeling demo tape alongside songs written after the demo’s original recording. Production was handled by Trent Reznor and English producer Flood, with additional contributors. It was promoted with the singles "Down in It", "Head Like a Hole", and "Sin". A remastered edition was released in 2010.
