ORGANIC COIR BEDDING

From Coir, this block bedding is a versatile horticultural and animal bedding product made from organic coconut fibre and pith. Soil Association Certified and sourced from a renewable resource, it is produced without chemicals or fertilisers and is suitable for use in wormeries, as compost for potting plants, or as bedding for pets that prefer humid conditions.

Supplied in a compressed, dehydrated form, the block expands when rehydrated to produce up to 9 litres of bedding or compost. It can be used for reptiles, snails, tortoises and other animals, helping to create a naturally moist environment. For gardening use, it also works as an alternative to peat compost, including in containers and hanging baskets, and can be added to potting mixes.

Care

Add the coir block to a clean bucket of fresh water and leave it to soak until fully expanded. Before use, squeeze out any excess water so that it is damp rather than wet.
