Otway & Orford 'Blue Bird' sailing silk pocket square - blue & white (42x42cm)

From Otway & Orford, the ‘Blue Bird’ is a full-size silk Pocket Square in blue and white, created in collaboration with contemporary maritime artist Pierre Joubert. Inspired by a perfect day for a sailing regatta, the design is reproduced from Joubert’s original oil-on-canvas artwork, capturing clear skies, a friendly sea and sleek yachts with seemingly intertwined sails.

Printed in Macclesfield, the traditional home of English silk printing, it is produced with careful attention to colour and clarity on both the printed and reverse sides, so it looks considered whichever fold you choose. A bluey green border frames the artwork, while the deep-blue, hand-rolled and hand-sewn ‘shoestring’ hem provides a refined finish. Made in England, it is presented tissue-wrapped in a complimentary gift box and accompanied by a card sharing the story of the artist and his work.
