Paper High Coloured Distressed Leather 3-String Journal

Designed for everyday note-taking and creative work, the Paper High Coloured Distressed Leather 3-String Journal is handmade using a blend of contemporary and traditional techniques. Each journal is hand bound and finished with a leather cover made from a by-product of the meat industry in India, tanned using only natural dyes. Treated with natural oils, the leather will soften over time and develop character with age.

Inside, you’ll find plain, unlined pages made from khadda paper (also known as kaddi or khaddi), crafted by hand from recycled, unbleached cotton salvaged from the waste of the Indian garment industry. The result is an acid-free paper with a lightly textured, luxuriously thick feel that’s a pleasure to write, draw, or paint on. It’s well suited to ball-point pens, gel pens, and watercolours; fountain pens are not recommended.

Secured with a hand-dyed, tri-colour leather strap, each piece is unique, with natural creases, bumps and marks that evolve over time. If you prefer a less distressed finish, a more suitable version can be selected upon request or when personalising.
