Designed for everyday writing and creative moments, this Fair Trade sari-covered journal brings together contemporary and traditional craft. Each one is hand bound and made to withstand the knocks and bumps of life on the move, whether you’re keeping a diary, building a travel journal, sketching, or organising to-do lists. The sari material is sourced from Varanasi, a centre of excellence for sari making.

Inside, the pages are made from handmade khadda paper (also known as kaddi or khaddi), created from recycled cotton salvaged from waste in the Indian garment industry. Only unbleached cotton is used, helping to ensure the paper is acid-free. Lightly textured and luxuriously thick, it feels beautiful to write, draw, or paint on. It’s well suited to ball-point pens, gel pens and watercolours; fountain pens are not recommended. As each journal is handmade, every piece is unique, making it a thoughtful gift for a budding writer.
