Rackhams Wins UK StartUp Award 2026
We are delighted to announce that Rackhams has been named Retail & E-Commerce StartUp of the Year 2026 for the Midlands region at the UK StartUp Awards 2026.
The award was presented on 18th June 2026 at MAC Birmingham by Professor Dylan Jones-Evans, founder of the UK StartUp Awards, and Calvin Eden, in front of an audience of entrepreneurs, business leaders and innovators from across the region.
This recognition marks an important milestone in Rackhams' journey. Having relaunched as a modern online department store just over a year ago, the business started from a standing start, with no existing website traffic, customer database or ecommerce infrastructure. Since then, Rackhams has grown rapidly, welcoming hundreds of thousands of visitors, supporting more than 1,000 partner brands and delivering tens of thousands of customer orders.
The UK StartUp Awards celebrate the achievements of the most exciting and innovative new businesses across the United Kingdom, recognising companies that have demonstrated exceptional growth, ambition and impact within their industries. To be recognised amongst such a strong group of businesses is a tremendous honour for the entire Rackhams team.
We would like to extend our congratulations to all of the finalists and winners across every category. The evening showcased an incredible range of businesses and entrepreneurs who are making a positive contribution to their industries and local communities. It was inspiring to hear so many success stories and see the innovation being developed across the Midlands.

This award is also a reflection of the support we have received from our customers, brand partners, suppliers and wider network. Their trust and commitment have helped us build a marketplace that continues to grow at an exciting pace.
Winning the Midlands regional title means Rackhams will now progress to the UK StartUp Awards National Finals, which will take place at Ideas Fest in September 2026. We are looking forward to representing the Midlands on the national stage alongside other outstanding regional winners from across the UK.
While we are proud of this achievement, we see it as another step in our journey rather than a destination. Our focus remains on continuing to improve the customer experience, supporting our growing community of partner brands, and building one of the UK's leading online department stores.
