Reign & Hail is the vision of James Earnshaw, a graphic artist and former animator whose work is deeply shaped by music and the overlooked corners of everyday culture.

Since launching in 2015, James has built a reputation for producing work with modernist appeal that remains firmly rooted in typography.

James's background in graphic design informs his methodical approach to each print, from painstakingly researching fonts and recreating traditional printing techniques. His attention to detail isn't just perfectionism—it's what transforms a simple poster into something that feels substantial and considered.

Currently expanding his collection from his studio in Suffolk, James remains guided by a simple philosophy: always looking, always learning.
