Savage Works Wavy Poppy Seedhead

From Savage Works, the Wavy Poppy Seedhead is a handcrafted metal garden ornament designed to bring sculptural interest to borders, patios and plant pots. Over time, the mild steel develops a distinctive orange rust finish when left outdoors, adding natural-looking colour and texture that evolves with the seasons.

Each piece is made by a skilled welder using locally sourced mild steel and can be left outside year-round with no maintenance required. For a more striking display, the stems can be pushed into the soil to vary the height and create contrast when grouped together. Poppies are supplied in a non-rusted state and will rust naturally outdoors; if you would like yours pre-rusted, this can be requested, with an additional seven days added to the lead time. To speed up the rusting process, the ornament can be sprayed with salt water to encourage rusting within days.
