Tamiya US M1A2 Main Battle Tank Sep Abrams Tusk II (1:35 Scale)

Developed for service in Iraq, the U.S. M1A2 Abrams received additional protection for urban combat through the Tank Urban Survival Kit programme. This Tamiya kit recreates the M1A2 SEP Abrams with the TUSK II configuration in 1/35 scale, drawing on newly gathered reference data for an accurate build.

TUSK II introduced further upgrades beyond the earlier TUSK I package, including tile-shaped reactive armour on the turret and hull sides, an armoured shield for the commander, and a rear-view camera. The real-world kits were installed in theatre and could be fitted in field depots in around 12 hours, with equipment varying between vehicles. A considered choice for military modellers, it offers a focused subject with clear historical context.
