For day-to-day upkeep, the surface can be wiped clean with a damp cloth. The set includes Washington dining chairs with a hardwood frame, solid oak legs and a sprung seat, upholstered in fabric and padded with medium density foam. Minimal home assembly is required to attach the legs to the tabletop using the bolts supplied.
